Media Practice Evaluation

For this task, we didn't have enough time to plan our location, actors, or song choice. The song I chose was by Gucci Mane Both ft. Drake, my decision for this song was firstly because it was Hip-hop/rap which is the type of music I would like to stick to next year and also the chorus was repeated which made it a safer and easier option.

Camera Work: The main shots used was close ups and medium shots. We also used low angle shots to make the actor look superior which is a common feature in hip-hop music. We also decided to use a handheld camera to make it look like the camera was moving with the person which at first it worked but then I decided that for next year to use a tripod to make it static in order for it to look professional.

Editing: One mistake we did was that the actor used didn't know the song which made it more difficult. When planning for my final project I will use an actor that knows the lyrics and feels comfortable with the choice of the song.

This was good practice because it helped me realize the importance of being prepared and having good artists in order to make a professional music video.
